This week was about 2 patterns: Stone and Get Gel. It was also about color palette. I needed new tools. So, Rhiannon and I made new combs to match the tray's size. A new heavier size, and new whisks with real corn broom. What am talking about? To have tools that work, they have to match the size of the tray, and the size has to be thick enough but not too thick so the colors can float.
For the next few weeks, I will be experimenting with size (the liquid on which I float the colors), and moving the combs. I have to do this until the results match the classic patterns.
The colors are getting better and I am keeping a log of mixed colors and formulas. Should start recording room and outside temperatures also, because the temperature affects the work, just like making dough.
